Excellent widescreen monitorBy MdniteEaglJust purchased this monitor to go with a new computer system. I was looking for something that was widescreen but had the same physical height of the 19" LCD 4:3 I already had, and one thing I definitely wanted (required) was a monitor with USB ports - I like being able to plug things like the keyboard, mouse, and card reader/writer into the monitor to cut down on spaghetti behind the computer tower.Another thing I liked about the EA222WMe was the LED backlight. While this raises the purchase price a notch, the current draw is less (as low as 13W in EcoMode 2) and the life expectancy is longer.If you buy this, be sure to download the owner's manual from the NEC website, as you'll otherwise be wondering how to adjust this thing from the factory settings. One thing I disabled immediately was the "automatic brightness" feature... this uses an optical sensor on the front of the monitor to dim or brighten the screen real-time to changing light conditions. Only problem was, every time I flinched or turned in my seat, the screen would dim or brighten - that got old in about 2 minutes.
